FYI - there is a way to get king text to (partially) work with wordpress 2.2 - edit king-text.php and comment out the include_once('widgets.php'); entry. I say partial since the tabs that defined categories / etc are not visible, but the settings still exist, since the site still adheres to the pre-2.2 definitions. - more details can be found @ http://wordpress.org/support/topic/119378

Supposedly, king text will be upgraded - but as of this post, I didn’t see an eta.

Yes, there are some minor glitches that may keep webmasters back from upgrading. If you want to upgrade though, i have written a guide for upgrading to WordPress 2.2. It’s pretty straightforward and contains images along with the instructions. Along with your list of plugins that don’t work there is the AdSense Manager plugin from mutube

Thanks for the various Widget links!
Since I was using the Sidebar Modules plugin for WP (which is much better then Widgets IMO) the 2.2 upgrade forced me to use widgets making the SBM disappear.

Now I had to find appropriate widgets to get me back my old sidebar.

Damn it, it’s getting so hard to comment, that what is the point really with this unfriendly garbage one has to type in notwithstanding that most of it only works with the unsafest browser in the world forcing us back to the microsoft standard.

It all sucks big time, as I have to say most of the blog world anyway, its time has come, been and gone, it is now just like spam, and all the rest of the pollution of the airwaves, unreal and insignificant except as a nuisance
